Originally slated for 1 week, our letter writing campaign has drawn so much support from groups across campus, we’ve extended it to 4 weeks!!!
Today we thank Watermargin for speaking out for divestment!
Watermargin, Cornell’s social justice cooperative delivered a letter to President Skorton this morning in support of fossil fuel divestment. Watermargin was established in 1947 by a group of World War II veterans “with the goal of promoting understanding between people of different races and religious affiliations.” Today members of Watermargin are involved in all types of progressive groups on campus and view divestment as a moral imperative. Thank you! Read their letter here.
