Cameron Pritchett, SA Minority Liaison At-Large, delivered a letter to President Skorton in support of fossil fuel divestment. Representative Pritchett voted against the Resolution. He explains that he supports divestment, but did not believe that it is under the purview of the Student Assembly. “Divesting from fossil fuels does not directly influence how students attend classes, live in dorms, eat in dining halls, remain safe at night, etc. However, as attendees of this university, students have the right to express how they believe it should operate. As a Student Assembly representative, it is my duty to advocate on behalf of students and to represent their opinion.” Thanks, Rep. Pritchett! Read his letter here.
